Terms of use
The rules for playing together: simple, and meant to keep the game fair and pleasant.
Texts updated on October 8, 2026
What these terms are
Movie TCG is a free card game about movies and TV shows. By creating an account or playing, you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the game.
Your account
An account is personal. You give a valid e-mail address, choose a username and a password, and keep them to yourself. You are responsible for what happens from your account.
One account per person. Multiple accounts created to stack advantages (gifted packs, referrals, tokens) are forbidden.
A username must not impersonate another person, nor be abusive, discriminatory or misleading.
How to play together
Be courteous in messages, usernames and trades. Insults, harassment, hate, unlawful content, spam and phishing are forbidden.
Cheating is forbidden: exploiting a flaw in the game, automating actions with software, getting around limits (packs, tokens, attempts) or disrupting the service. If you find a flaw, report it rather than use it.
Sales and trades must be fair: no bid manipulation, no collusion to distort a price.
Cards, tickets and trades: nothing real
Cards, tickets, tokens and everything the game hands out are virtual items with no monetary value. They cannot be bought, sold or exchanged for money or a real-world good, inside the game or outside it. The game offers nothing to buy.
They remain part of the game, not something you own: we may adjust them to balance the game, fix an error or set right an unfair situation, and a season or a feature may be reset with notice in the game.
Draw odds and rules are published on the rules page.
What you publish
Your username, messages and profile remain your responsibility. You allow us to display them in the game to the players concerned, for as long as the service needs. We may remove anything that breaches these terms or the law.
Availability of the game
The game is free and run by one person: we do our best to keep it available, without being able to promise it. It may be interrupted for an update, an outage or a security reason, and may change or stop one day, with reasonable notice in the game.
In case of abuse
If these terms are not respected, we may remove cards or tickets obtained irregularly, suspend or delete an account, with a message explaining why when possible. You can reply at contact@movietcg.com.
Intellectual property
Movies, TV shows, names and posters belong to their rights holders; the data comes from TMDb. The game, its code and its texts belong to the publisher (see the legal notice).
Liability
The game is provided as is. Within the limits allowed by law, the publisher is not liable for interruptions, for losses of cards or tickets caused by a technical fault, or for what other players do. Nothing here limits the rights the law guarantees you.
Changes and applicable law
These terms may change; the date at the top of the page changes, and an important change is announced in the game. Continuing to play after a change means you accept it.
They are governed by French law. In a dispute we first look for an amicable solution; failing that, French courts have jurisdiction, subject to the protective rules for consumers.
Film and series data provided by TMDb. Movie TCG uses the TMDb API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDb.
